Camps & Classes for Elementary and Middle School Students

Welcome to Squirrelly!  We are excited to welcome your young artists and makers for a new collection of after-school art classes and summer camps.  Unless otherwise indicated, all of the classes listed below are geared for ages 6-12, with room to move on either end.  Normally, all classes take place at Wunderkind, at 3315 NE 55th Street.  At this time, we are taking things week by week!  Some classes are being offered ALL OUTSIDE (with safety protocols to keep all healthy) and others will be offered via Zoom.  We will continue to update our plans below.  Thank you for your patience and stay healthy!   Please help us to plan for upcoming classes by completing our survey here.  Thank you!

ALL OUTDOOR Fall Art Series!  September 15 - October 21

Some art is best done outdoors!  Take advantage of the fall weather and join Squirrelly this fall for six weekly art classes, all OUTDOORS on the Wunderkind patio.  We'll tackle the messy, stinky, and loud projects that are tough to do inside:  Japanese fish printing, mural painting, woodworking (gumball machines!), jello printing, and more.  Choose Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons for now.  If these classes fill, or you'd like to request an earlier time or different day, we'd love your feedback on adding more classes!  Contact us at info@squirrellyworkshop.com.

Choose six Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays:
Series A:  Tuesdays, 3:30-5:30pm  (9/15, 22, 29 & 10/6, 13, 20)  *FULL*
Series B:  Wednesdays, 2:00-4:00pm  (9/16, 23, 30 & 10/7, 14, 21)  *FULL*
Series C:  Thursdays, 3:30-5:30pm (9/17, 24, 10/1, 8, 15, 22)  *FULL*
*So sorry, all spaces just filled!  Please feel free to email info@squirrellyworkshop.com to be put on a waitlist for Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, or to let us know if you'd be interested in a class earlier or later in the day -- Tell us what works for you and we will try to accommodate!  Thank you!

These classes will be offered ALL OUTSIDE on the patio at Wunderkind, and we will follow strict safety protocols (including mask wearing, frequent hand-washing, and taking temperatures each day upon arrival.  Click here for more details.Note:  While we will also strive for 6 foot physical distancing, kids will be moving from place to place, and they may not be seated and separate at all times.  It's nearly impossible for them to not interact with each other.  We WILL be outdoors and wearing masks at all times to protect against the spread of germs.  Please email info@squirrellyworkshop.com if you would like to talk about health and safety concerns, or about scholarships too.  Thank you!   Click here to register!

STRING ART: TRY THIS AT HOME!

While we wait for a time when we can all create art together again, check out this How-To video for a fun art project you can try at home, with materials you likely already have.  Send a photo of your finished project to info@squirrellyworkshop.com and we'll add it to our gallery!

MAKE YOUR OWN EASY AND FUN FACE MASK!

Check out this video for two super easy face masks you can make at home. One, with just a paper towel, rubber bands, and a stapler.  The other, with a pillowcase or cloth napkin, rubber bands, and a needle and thread -- super easy sewing!  Then, get creative with Sharpies or embroidery to make it look awesome.  Show us your unique mask when you're done - share on Instagram at #kidsmakemasks!

* If you are interested in a camp or class that is already full, please feel free to email info@squirrellyworkshop.com to be added to our waitlist, and be notified if new classes open up.  Thank you!
