Welcome to Squirrelly!  We are excited to welcome your young artists and makers for a new collection of after-school art classes and summer camps.  Unless otherwise indicated, all of the classes listed below are geared for ages 6-12, with room to move on either end.  Normally, all classes take place at Wunderkind, at 3315 NE 55th Street.  At this time, we are taking things week by week!  Some classes have been cancelled or postponed, and others will be offered via Zoom.  We will continue to update our plans below.  Thank you for your patience and stay healthy!

JUNE 23 - 26:

Bus Stop Candy Shop

Tuesday through Friday, June 23-26, 9:30am-Noon

Back by popular demand!  In four days, kids have a blast making four different types of candy, from taffies to chocolates to marshmallow surprises.  Then, we’ll use our art and marketing skills to create our own Candy Shop logo and labels for our treats.  But that’s not all!  Because candy is so colorful and fun to paint, we will also spend the week creating a work of public art, candy-themed!  Kids will design and paint a 4-paneled mural to be installed at a Metro bus stop in our neighborhood, something to show off to friends for years to come. $190.

Action Figure Customization & Comic Book Creation

Tuesday through Friday, June 23-26, 1:00-3:30pm

Let your creative juices flow!  We'll spend the week creating our favorite main character in 3D - a real action figure to play with (designing, sculpting, sewing and more!)  Then, we'll learn concepts of comic book design and create adventures on paper, finishing with a hard-back book to take home.  Loads of maker fun and exercising the imagination!  $190.
