Art Experiences for All Ages

We're so excited to create an inter-generational space where all ages can come and create art together!  These classes are appropriate for older kids or adults to attend on their own, or for younger kids to attend with an adult.  Come solo and make new friends, make it a special mother/daughter date, or bring the whole family!  On the REGISTER page, you'll find these classes under the OPEN TO ALL category.

Sewing and Knitting Circle

BYO sewing or knitting project and we'll provide the community!  We'll also have a couple of experienced knitters and sewists in the mix in case you'd like to bounce ideas or gather advice.  No charge for this one!  We'll try to make this a monthly gathering, so feedback on dates is welcome!

Wool Felting

Learn this fun artform and create some adorable little creatures and even items to wear!  We'll use needles to felt wool and create objects, figurines, and a bracelet.  This is a wonderful art form for the whole family to try together -- the needles are sharp, so children under age 10 should attend with an adult.

Sunday April 23, 2:00-4:00pm,  $45 per person, or $80 for a parent/child pair.

Indian Parathas and Chai

This authentic Indian cooking class is wonderful for all ages!  Taught by Shirin Subhani, guests will learn to make traditional Indian stuffed parathas (unleavened bread).  We'll make the dough and stuffing, fill the parathas, roll out and cook on an open griddle.  We'll make three different delicious stuffings:  Aloo (Potatoes), Gobi (cauliflower) and Paneer --  and enjoy the parathas after the class, served with dahi (yogurt) and achaar (spicy Indian pickle).  Shirin will even teach us her own delicious Chai recipe.

Saturday evening, April 22, 6:30-9:00pm, $60

Ceramic Mugs and Planters

Handbuilding for all ages!  In the first session, we'll roll out clay slabs and you'll make your new favorite cup or mug, as well as an earthy terra cotta hanging planter.  In session two, we'll glaze both pieces and make a third surprise ceramic kitchen accessory.

Two Saturday mornings, April 22 and May 13, 10am-Noon, $105  (includes kiln fee)

Still Life with Acrylics

Bring a friend or family member and learn this adorable painting and collage technique from local artist Laura Wright.  Come with a couple of your favorite books in mind and create a custom still life with books and flowers.  Such a fun project for all ages!  Snacks and drinks included. (Also offered for Teens on May 10!)

Tuesday May 9, 6:30-8:30pm, $55
