Art Experiences for All Ages
We're so excited to create an inter-generational space where all ages can come and create art together! These classes are appropriate for older kids or adults to attend on their own, or for younger kids to attend with an adult. Come solo and make new friends, make it a special mother/daughter date, or bring the whole family! On the REGISTER page, you'll find these classes under the OPEN TO ALL category.

Come solo or bring a friend and learn this awesome painting and collage technique from local artist Laura Wright. Come with a couple of your favorite books in mind and create a custom still life with books and flowers.

Explore this accessible and beautiful artform with local artist Ana Mabeline Aguirre. Create an original printing plate, layer designs, experiment with color, enjoy community, and go home with an original work for the wall. Ana will teach two consecutive evenings at Squirrelly, one for all ages and one special night for teens and 'tweens. Come play with us!

Indian Cooking Series with Shirin Subhani
Step into Shirin's kitchen and learn the basics of Indian cooking and much more! In this three class series, you'll learn how to use Indian spices, how to cook the most commonly cooked home dishes, and how to take shortcuts to make delicious Indian dinners in minutes. Choose one or two, or attend the whole series!
The Comfort of Daal: Saturday, June 24, 6:30-9:00pm
Find out what Shirin feeds her family nearly every day, then learn how to make two different daals like a pro. Make delicious cumin rice too -- super easy! $60
Saag Paneer & Matar Paneer, Saturday, July 15, 6:30-9:00pm
Paneer (mild Indian cheese) made with spinach and other greens, and Paneer with Peas -- two of the most loved Indian dishes -- could be in your regular cooking repertoire! Plus learn Shirin's secret to serving delicious naan without having to order from a restaurant. $60
Aloo Curry & Shirin's Secret Shortcut, Saturday, July 29, 6:30-9:00pm
Shhh... Shirin will share some of her favorite shortcuts and tricks for making a delicious Indian meal in just 15 minutes! And you'll also learn to make Aloo Curry (potatoes in a tomato based curry sauce) and Beans Poriyal (a South Indian bean dish with coconut). Delish! $60

Handbuilding for all ages! In the first session, we'll roll out clay slabs and you'll make your new favorite cup or mug, as well as an earthy terra cotta hanging planter. In session two, we'll glaze both pieces and make a third surprise ceramic kitchen accessory.
Two Saturday mornings, April 22 and May 13, 10am-Noon, $105 (includes kiln fee)
In this workshop, you'll learn a few basic knots and use those to make two Macrame Boho Bottle Bags, great for toting your summer water bottle or gifting a bottle of wine! Fun for the whole family. BYO sewing or knitting project and we'll provide the community! We'll also have a couple of experienced knitters and sewists in the mix in case you'd like to bounce ideas or gather advice. No charge for this one! We'll try to make this a monthly gathering, so feedback on dates is welcome!
